When we linked up with the guys of RED EYED DEVIL (NYHC), we hadn’t any intentions of shooting a music video. Initially the game plan was to journey to the far depths of Queens, NY to do an collaborative interview piece with them and Mr. Jimmy Ferrari of Angry White Boy Inc. clothing. However, after making the three hour trek to their rehearsal space in rush-hour traffic, I felt that we needed to do just a little more than interview the crew about their up-coming release, ‘Consequence of Time.’
Armed with nothing more than the Panasonic HVX-200, I had the guys play their first single, ‘Corrupt Her’ no more than three times. After a day of editing with limited footage (mind you, the rehearsal space was a 12′x12′ room packed with the band, their equipment, photographer Jimmy Dreadz, myself and Jimmy from AWB), and an additional two days of playing around in AE with some film looks and effects, this is what we came up with. A rather straightforward and gritty hardcore approach is what we were gunning for.
Caution: Some explicit imagery can be seen within this video. Also, R.E.D. represents with a rather intense level of aggression and ferocity – hence, Red Eyed Devil.
